What is luck?

On a station, two guys entered and rushed towards the empty seats.
One of them got a seat, and the other almost missed it as a woman acquired it.
The one who didn't get the seat was highly disappointed, he kept cribbing to his partner, ‘so much distance to cover.' ‘I am so tired.'
Finally, accepting his fate, he stood alongside a pole, but he was alert and kept looking here and there in case someone gets up.
Every time someone moved, he almost rushed in hope.
After a few minutes, suddenly the packet in his hands fell, he bent to pick it up, in the meanwhile someone sitting next to him got up and left, and a person standing at some distance walked and sat on the seat.
When he got up and looked back, seats were full.
He kept standing until I got out after almost half an hour.
Sometimes you make all the desired efforts, but still, an opportunity disappears in the blink of an eye, and you can't help but watch; sometimes you get an opportunity suddenly and unexpectedly only because you were at the right place or right time.
No one knows if this happens by chance or is a pre-written fate, but we call this as luck.
When luck acts against you, better not regret and accept that as your fate and do your karma, as you were doing before.
