The Banks around India were making numerous plans by introducing new schemes, online applications etc to avoid the crowd and to follow social distancing in the environment.
On that note, Indian Bank establishes new norms to withdraw money from banks till May 11 due to this lockdown condition.
This reforms has made due to the social distancing could not be followed in last month as people who were formed in a queue to withdraw money from Banks. As there will be no charge to withdraw money from ATMs.
In order to follow social distancing bank has made specific dates to withdraw money. These dates were based on the last account number of the customers.
These arrangements were made applicable up to May 11, after the lockdown gets over that limitation on withdrawal could be relieved.
Bank customers who were having the account number which ends with 0 and 1 can withdraw money from the bank on May 4. Likewise customers who's account ended with 2 and 3 will be allowed to withdraw on May 5. For those who's account number ended with 4 and 5 can withdraw the money on May 6. On May 8 customers can withdraw their money on who's account number ended with 6 and 7. Similarly, bank customers, who's account number ended with 8 and 9 can withdraw the money on May 11.
The Bank also added that customers have to reduce their visits to banks and do transaction on electronic mode through online portals and applications.
Apart from that withdrawal norms, Indian Bank has ensured that the money of Rs.500 is being deposited in accounts of women under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana. The bank has recommended that not to crowd to withdraw that money which is under safe in the respective account.
The Installment money for the month of April has been added already to the account and for the month of May ,it is under process.
