Online booking for 200 trains running onFrom today booking for 200 passenger trains started from IRCTC website. 100 routes across the country starts from 1 June. Booking of tickets for these trains will begin on May 21 (Thursday) i.e. 10 am today. Earlier, the Railways only talked about non AC trains, but these trains will also have AC and General coaches. Railways has said that the booking of e-tickets for these trains will be done only through IRCTC website or app. Also, no tickets will be issued from reservation centers or railway stations.


According to the notification issued by the railway, RAC and waiting tickets will also be available in these trains. However, those with waiting tickets will not be allowed to board the train. These trains will have both AC and non AC coaches which will be fully reserved. These trains include 73 express trains, 5 Duronto and the rest Jan Shatabdi trains.

Railways said that general class vehicles would also be reserved for full seating. No coach will be unreserved in these trains. The fare of these trains will be ordinary. Second class seating for reserved general coach will be charged. Railways said that seats will be provided to all passengers in these trains.

Railways said that the advance reservation period will be maximum 30 days and RAC and waiting list will be made under the current rules. However, wait-list ticket holders will not be allowed to board the train. Railways said that no unreserved tickets will be issued for these trains nor will any tickets be given after boarding the train.

Only those with confirmed tickets will be given entry inside the station premises. RAC and waiting tickets will also be given in these trains. But waiting ticket holders will not be allowed to board the train. The timetable of these trains will remain same as regular trains. Their stops and frequencies will also be like regular trains.

These precautions will have to be taken

All passengers traveling in these trains will be screened at the boarding station and only those passengers who do not have signs of corona will be allowed to travel.
Only online ticket booking will be done, no ticket can be booked from the counter.
Blankets will not be provided inside the train. Passengers have been advised to leave home with sheets and blankets for the journey.
Along with this, it will be mandatory for all travelers to download the Arogya Setu application. Along with this, face cover or face mask will also be mandatory.
Passengers must arrive at the station 90 minutes before the train’s departure time. The general rules of railways will apply regarding ticket cancellation.
