The Anchor is the podcast application owned by Spotify. It is just like any other app like Instagram, where one can upload or post the audio on it, and later one can find the related answers to your uploads through their own audio messages. It is made to help those working from home during this quarantine period of Corona.
Amid isolation, many IT workers are working form home and the IT Minister Ravi Prasad has announced that work from home is extended till 31 July. Accordingly, the anchor app can help those the most in their video chat and conferencing.
That Spotify is establishing connections and to its podcast business using grown video chats and virtual hangouts during the COVID-19 phase. So through this new feature one can record their conference calls and virtual hangouts and it will pull the video part and convert it in an Audio. Which then will be ready podcast audio to upload on any platform.
And this video- audio conversion will work with the top most used chat platforms like Zoom, Skype, Google Meet, Instagram live. It will also access the .mov and .mp4 files. So when you convert a video file into an audio file, after recording it, download the video file, you are to upload then to the anchor’s website.
And from the anchor’s website, as a result, you will find an audio file in Anchor’ Episode builder segment in which you can crop, edit and add any other audio as per your convenience. You can also give it background music, sound effects, and any other voice recording including your voice.
Once your podcast is ready, one can share its podcast as Anchor makes it easy for unlimited hosting to Spotify and Applepodcast and on others where the listener may interest.
It can be very useful for those who want to share their chats, interests and want to record the conference calls with colleagues, in that case, the recorder should have the permission of all participants of the meeting or conference video call.
This feature could not be used by uploading videos from Youtube as it doesn’t support downloading .mov and .mp4 files. But if u have any raw files of .mov and .mp4, then one can covert it in an audio or ready podcast. Even you can have some files from google for podcasting.
A podcast can explore the sharing post and new talents by the anchor’s new feature of converting video to audio.
