Firstly, we need to understand what prompted Jyotiraditya Scindia to quit Congress after being a part of it for nearly 18 years. Yes, you read it right. He was a part of INC for 18 long years.
The prominent face of Congress in Madhya Pradesh was Jyotiraditya Scindia. They had fought election on his name. However, they made Kamalnath as the Chief minister. This was not because he was more capable but because he was closer to Gandhi family.

He was clearly unsatisfied. He had raised this issue with the senior leadership several times but they did not pay much attention to him.
Hence, he thought it would be better to part ways with Congress.
As far as incentives of joining BJP are concerned, they are as follows:-
- He gets an opportunity to be a Rajya Sabha Minister.
- He will also get a chance to be a Cabinet Minister.
Also, he felt that in spite of being such an important leader, he was not getting much respect.
Therefore, he thought it was best to join BJP
