You can transfer SBI saving account online without visiting your branch

Through Internet Banking: Now you can transfer SBI saving account online without visiting your branch. This video explains the online procedure of transferring Savings account from one branch to another through Online SBI.

Through Branch Channel: A customer can submit request for transfer of accounts at the transfer branch. In case of application submitted at transfer branch, a scanned copy of the account transfer request is sent by transfer branch to the transfer branch via branch official email.

In case of joint accounts with mode of operation as both/all/jointly, either or survivor, Former or survivor, Latter or survivor, etc., all the joint account holders must sign the request letter for transfer of accounts.

In case of the transfer of accounts where KYC is incomplete, the customer will be allowed to submit the necessary KYC documents at the transfer branch as per his convenience.

If documents are submitted at the transfer branch, it may verify and send the scanned copies of these documents, through its official email, to the transfer branch to enable transfer of the account as requested by the customer.

Transfer of Inoperative Accounts will also be transferred in the same way as any other account as the inoperative status continues to be reflected in CBS at the transfer branch even after transfer.

Home branch is changed by the transfer branch in the system and the account stands transferred.

If the customer is having only one account then at the time of transfer of account the CIF will also be transferred, but if the customer has more than one account at the transfer Branch, and he selects to transfer only one or some of the accounts (but not all), he has to decide where he wants the CIF to be kept.

KYC once done by one branch of the bank will be valid for transfer of the account within the bank as long as full KYC has been done for the concerned account.
