In view of the increasing infection of ongoing worldwide health epidemic in the country, PM Narendra Modi on Monday interacted with chief ministers across the country through video conferencing. The second lock down is scheduled to end on 3 May 2020. Just a week before that, PM Modi has held this meeting.
According to media sources, West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee also attended this meeting. But CM Pinarayi Vijayan of Kerala was not present in this meeting. According to the media reporters Kerala had already given its suggestions in writing to prime minister office.
Since the lock down began, prime minister Modi has interacted with Chief Ministers across the country through video conferencing thrice till now. Sources say that the lock down removal measures have been discussed in this meeting. However, given the ever-increasing transition, some states want to extend the lock down beyond May 3.

PM Narendra Modi first announced a 21 day nation wide lock down on 24 March 2020 which ended on 14 April 2020. After that he has announced a lock down for the second time on 14 April 2020 which will run till 3 May 2020. Earlier on Sunday, prime minister Narendra Modi said in his Mann Ki Baat that the country is fighting a war and people should take special care right now.
