Some Facts About Indian Space Research Organisation
  1. India will launch its third mission, Chandrayaan-3, to the moon in an attempt to the land on its surface in 2020-21. The mission will target a soft-landing near lunar south pole later this year or early next year.

GSLV Mark-iii(left) had to be operationalized for launching Chandrayaan-2 due to its heavy payload. Chandrayaan-3 will be much lighter as no orbiter would be stacked on it. ISRO however, has not specified the rocket type to be used in Chandrayaan-3.

Chandrayaan-3's payload will be similar to chandrayaan-2 (above). It will have a lander, rover like its previous iteration. Since it will not carry an orbiter, a propulsion module will be added to the lander. ISRO already has a set of backup lander-rover units that may be used after some modifications.

The orbiter from Chandrayaan-2 that is already in place will be used by the lander- rover to communicate with Earth. The orbiter, which originally had a mission life of one year, has been given an extension in mission life. It will be operated for 7 years.

The lander-rover is excepted to land close to the lunar south pole like chandrayaan-2. Changes will be made to the sequence of powered descent, during which a velocity loss had caused the chandrayaan-2's lander-rover to crash. ISRO has not yet revealed the detail of the lander

Mission cost 

Chandrayaan-2 was coasted in rupees 960cr and chandrayaan-3 are coasted in rupees 610cr (rupees-250cr in lander-rover and rupees 360cr in launch rocket).

According to ISRO after the journey of 3 lakh 84 thousand kilometres to the moon, chandrayaan-2 is 18 thousand kilometres away from its target. According to ISRO after the success of this mission, India will become 4th country in the world which send the rover on the moon surface.

The main aim behind this mission is, to develop the important technologies, soft landing on the moon, this mission will also increase our knowledge about the moon. This mission will also provide some knowledge about the geographical condition of the moon, it's chemical condition and climate and also some knowledge about the study of the moon and its growth.

It is the great success of ISRO which was proceed on 20 August 2019 which is named as Chandrayaan-2, this mission will make our country more powerful in the field of space technology.

Some More Facts about chandrayaan-2: - 

Chandryaan-2 was launched by "GSLV-MK III" rocket which is made in India, due to its 4 tons payload it is called as "Bahubali".

Chandrayaan-2 have it's three different parts which are completely made in India, Orbiter, Lander and Rover.

Its lander was named as Vikaram on the name of the great scientist " Dr.Vikaram Sharabhai.

Its third part is rover it is the main part; it is named as "Pragyaan". In this mission, it will provide all the information about the moon. It is a six-wheeler robot with 27 kg weight, it can take around 500 meters on the moon, it works with the help of solar energy. It can contact with the rover and its life is only 14 days.
