
Indian Railways have started preparations to resume all their train services from April 15, 2020. Indian Railways Sources said that all the railway security personnel, staff, guards, Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) and other officials have been asked to be ready to return to their respective workplaces from April 15, 2020.

The operation of trains will start only after getting the green signal from the government. At present, advance booking has started in private trains along with railway trains.
80 Percent Chance Of Running Train

Railways Sources said that a message has been given to all the 17 zones to be ready to operate their services. From April 15, 2020 around 80 percent of trains are expected to run as per schedule, including Private trains, Express trains, Mail trains, Rajdhani trains, Shatabdi trains and Duronto trains. Services of local trains may also be operational from April 15, 2020.

Sources said that concrete action plans will be sent to the zones later this week. Northern Railway spokesperson says that from April 15, 2020, all types of passenger trains will run on their own time along with Mail Express. These include Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) trains, Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) trains, Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) trains and all types of carriages.

Before running trains, technical examination of these trains will be performed by the examiners and all trains will also be sanitized. Official sources of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), a company that runs private trains on some routes in the country, say that they have started preparing to run all private trains from April 15, 2020.
