The boy who resembles a werewolf because of excessive facial hair.


Lalit Patidar a 14 years old schoolboy who hails from Madhya Pradesh, India is suffering from a rare condition called Hypertrichosis which is commonly known as werewolf syndrome.

Lalit is currently a schoolboy and youngest among the siblings is the only member of the family who was born with this syndrome.
Talking about his day to day difficulties Lalit says that his facial hair sometimes falls off in his food plate he suffers breathing problems and also ear pain.

His friend Dilip told about how he felt when he met Lalit for the first time. Dilip says, first of all, he was terrified to see him then his grandfather made him realise that he is nothing but just like other kids of his age gradually they became friends.

Talking about other classmates he says that earlier other children used to bully him by calling him a monkey, devil etc they also used to pelt stone at Lalit but when their teacher scolded and made them understand about Lalit they all became friends and now they all play together with him.

Lalit's father said that the doctor has told them that he may get treated only after attaining his puberty at 16or17. Lalit is a fun-loving guy and he reaches school half an hour before the school begins because he loves playing with his school friends, his father added. Lalit's mother also treats him just like her other children.

Altogether, We can say Lalit's family and friends treat him normally and he is leading a joyful life and in future, he dreams to become a policeman. We hope his dreams come true and he becomes a successful police officer in his life.
