Sushma Swaraj a senior leader of bharatiya janata party
Sushma Swaraj was born on 14th February,1952 at Ambala Cantonment, Punjab, India. She was an Indian politician and a Supreme Court lawyer. She served as the Ministry of External Affairs of India 26th July, 2014 to 30th May, 2019. She was the second woman to hold the office after Indira Gandhi.
Her father's name is Haradev Sarma and mother's name is Laxmi Devi. Her parents hailed from Dharampura area of Lahore,Pakistan. She passed from Sanatan Dharma College at Ambala Cantonment and achieved bachelor's degree with major subjects Sanskrit, Political Science. After that she studied law at Punjab University.
In 1973 she started practice as an advocate in the Supreme Court. She began her politicial career with Ankhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad in 1970. She was elected seven times as a Member of Parliament and three times as a Member of the legislative Assembly.
She was died on 6th August, 2019.
